Yoga is fun! Yoga is learning! Yoga is for every body!  And it is good for you. Yoga is the art of science and living. It is a complete form of exercise, not only for the body but also for the mind Yoga offers all children the opportunity to take time out from mounting stresses in their daily life. 

Yoga is understood to be about keeping the body limber and relaxed but there are more subtle but infinitely important benefits as well from enhancing concentration, increasing balance, improving general well-being, boosting confidence, helping children understand what it is to respect ourselves, our community and our environment.  Doing yoga, children play, exercise, connect with their own sense of self and learn to develop relationships with their community and surrounding environment, natural and man-made.

And the wonderful thing about yoga is that it is not just for one type of child or another. In the same way that any adult can do yoga, it is for all children,regardless of their strengths or challenges. This too teaches an important lesson – we ar e all equal and no matter what is on the outside, we are all the same on the inside.
